We Are Crazy About Bugs!

Do you really have entomophopia?

According to wikipedia, entomophobia is: "a specific phobia characterized by an excessive or unrealistic fear of one or more classes of insect, and classified as a phobia by the DSM-5. More specific cases included katsaridaphobia (fear of cockroaches), melissophobia (fear of bees), myrmecophobia (fear of ants), and lepidopterophobia (fear of moths and butterflies)."

Please note that simply not liking bugs, or being a little afraid of them may not qualify as entomophobia. To truly claim you are entomophobic might require that you see a psychologist who would have the ability to accurately make a diagnosis.

If other creepy things like spiders and centipedes are getting to you, maybe you have something else, like arachnophobia, or scolopendrphobia (yep, that is a real word)!

No matter your level of disgust or fear of insects, spiders and centipedes is, you might want help wrapping your mind around why you feel this way. Terminix claims the answer to overcoming your fear of bugs “starts with knowing more”.

If you don't want to see a psychologist, you could visit an online life coach that is trained in neurolinguistic programming to help you sort it all out. They can help you view yourself as having multiple parts and provide some techniques on how to handle stressful situations like being confronted with creepy bugs.
